Terry Bradshaw is an American football player who played in the NFL for many years. He is a two-time Super Bowl winner, and the recipient of the prestigious AP NFL MVP award. He has also served as a coach for the Pittsburgh Steelers and the New Orleans Saints. Currently, he is the head coach for the Houston Texans. Aside from his success on the field, he is also known for his charitable work.

Super Bowl X throw

Terry Bradshaw was an ace quarterback and a dominant force in the NFL. He led the Pittsburgh Steelers to four Super Bowls and led his team to eight AFC Central titles. In 1978, Bradshaw was named the NFL’s most valuable player.

As a starting quarterback, he was the winning quarterback in all four of his Super Bowl appearances. In his career, Bradshaw passed for 932 yards and passed for nine touchdowns. During his Super Bowl victories, he threw for at least 300 yards in a game twice.

Depression after third divorce

When Terry Bradshaw went through his third divorce in 1999, he became depressed. However, he was able to overcome his struggles. He sought help and has been actively involved in raising awareness about mental health.

As a football quarterback and TV sportscaster, Bradshaw is a familiar face. He has toured the country and spoken about the prevalence of depression.

During his career, Terry suffered from serious mental health issues, including insomnia, anxiety attacks, and panic attacks after games. Eventually, his diagnosis was categorized as clinical depression.

Despite his diagnosis, Terry still pursued treatment. He took medication to control serotonin levels in his brain, and was eventually able to find relief.

In 2004, Bradshaw traveled to the US and talked about the prevalence of depression. He also spoke about having neck and bladder cancer.

Third Super Bowl victory

The Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback, Terry Bradshaw, led the team to a third Super Bowl victory. He threw four touchdown passes and accounted for 318 yards in the win against the Cowboys. Bradshaw was the first player in NFL history to win three Super Bowls. He also won the Most Valuable Player (MVP) award.

Bradshaw’s fourth quarter touchdown pass to Lynn Swann was the game-winner. Swann caught the ball in the end zone with less than a second to spare. Earlier, Bradshaw had completed two passes to Swann for gains of 29 and 21 yards.

The Steelers had a 35-17 lead with 6:51 remaining in the game. The score was tied at 17 with 2 minutes and 21 seconds left. During the Cowboys’ drive, Franco Harris carried the ball twice. On the first play, he gained one yard. Later, he scored on a 22-yard run.

In the third quarter, the Steelers took a 21-14 lead. Afterward, the team scored 14 unanswered points. After a touchdown pass from Bradshaw to Lynn Swann, the team advanced to the Cowboys’ 44-yard line.

Cancer experience

During the past year, Terry Bradshaw has battled two types of cancer. The first is bladder cancer, which he was diagnosed with in November of last year. He was also treated for a rare type of skin cancer, called a Merkel cell tumor. This is a form of cancer that is extremely aggressive and is known to recur in about three years.

In March of this year, he was diagnosed with a more advanced version of Merkel cell cancer. He was able to undergo surgery to remove the tumor. After the procedure, he is now cancer free.

Despite his diagnosis, Terry Bradshaw kept it private for a while. It was only recently that he shared his health journey with his fans. As a result, people began to criticize him. Some even called him an “embarrassment.” However, he decided to talk about it because he felt the need to help others.
